Self-Advocacy
Introduction to Course
Welcome to our course on Self-Advocacy. The focus of this course is on instructing students on strategies that empower them to speak up for themselves, understand their strengths and weaknesses, know what they need to succeed, and how to communicate these needs to others. These skills will assist students in being better prepared to take on current and future challenges. Students who develop self-advocacy skills are better prepared for a successful transition from high school to postsecondary education or employment.
